Social Distancing Procedure

Social Distancing Procedure – Wheels to Work Silverstone are currently one of the few services able to operate under the government Covid 19 restrictions.

Now some restrctions have been lifted, we have implemented the following social distancing procedure for motorcycle and scooter handovers and returns.

Only pre-booked customers will be able to pick up bikes – no walk-ins.

Booking Process

Application forms, payments completed, all copies of documents received and contracts signed online

All customers to be emailed Wheels to Work/Covid 19 handover procedure prior to arrival.  Customers must acknowledge receipt and confirm they have read and understood the procedures prior to arrival at Wheels to Work.

All bikes will be thoroughly cleaned between hires and mechanic servicing.  Gloves are used at all times.

Arrival at Wheels to Work Silverstone

To limit visitor numbers, customers will be given set times to arrive and depart both for handover and return of the bike.  Customers must arrive and depart promptly to ensure time slots are maintained.  If customers arrive outside of these times you may be turned away.

Customers are advised to arrive in a suitable face mask and gloves and wearing their riding kit if they have it.

All doors at Wheels to Work Silverstone will be locked so customers will need to use the doorbell to gain entry.

All customers (including group bookings) will be expected to maintain social distancing policies at all times and customers will only have access to designated areas.  Toilet, refreshment and changing facilities will have limited access during this time.

Handover Procedures

Motorcycle and scooter handovers will be outside unless weather dictates otherwise.

Unless wearing their own, customers will be provided with gloves and mask to wear – these will be left on the seat of your bike.

Customers will need to produce their licence and/or ID by leaving them on the motorcycle seat for us to verify.

Customers will be filmed (from a 2 metre distance) with the bike confirming any damage and verbally agreeing on film to understanding the controls and all other requirements.

Whilst customers finish getting ready, the Wheels to Work Silverstone representative will put the key on the bike seat and complete the handover.

We will take a final photo of customers with the bike for our records and for social media (if agreed).

Return Procedures

To limit visitor numbers, customers will be given set times to return the bike.  Customers must arrive and depart promptly to ensure time slots are maintained.  If customers return bikes outside of these times you may be charged for late arrival.

Customers are advised to arrive in a suitable face mask and gloves.

Customer bikes should be returned either front and centre at our big unit door inside or outside (returns will be outside unless weather dictates otherwise)

All doors at Wheels to Work Silverstone will be locked so customers will need to use the doorbell to gain entry.

Any bike issues, mileage and any damage will be recorded on film (at a safe distance) and customers will be filmed confirming this.  Any consequential additional charges will be charged to the customer’s card used for the pre-authorisation.
